Asia's first and largest soap recycling charity.
Have you ever wondered what happens to the soap left behind at hotels? Most hotels simply throw it away. Yet, every day thousands of children die from diseases that can be largely prevented simply by washing with soap. We at Soap Cycling aim to recover that soap and put it in the hands of those who need it most.
Soap Cycling is a nonprofit organization that works with the hospitality industry to collect, process, and distribute lightly used soap bars and bottled amenities. These life-saving items are then distributed to disadvantaged communities around the world, particularly Asia.
Did you know that soap is one of the most efficient and cost-effective lifesaving tools ever invented? Yet every year across Asia millions of life-saving bars of soap are discarded. At Soap Cycling we aim to get those bars into the hands of those who need it the most. In this case, one man's trash is truly another man's treasure.
Like many great ideas, Soap Cycling's story began completely by accident. Started as a tool to empower students at The University of Hong Kong, Soap Cycling has since become a multinational charity with impact all over the world.

What started as a tool to empower university students has since grown into a multi-country operation. At Soap Cycling we are trying to make the concept of soap recycling as common place as plastic or aluminum can recycling, and as a result are facilitating the start of soap recycling programs in several countries.
